Peter Joseph Paradise

Peter Joseph Paradise, 80, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Josephine (Luongo) Paradise, died January 8 at the home of his daughters in Newtown. Mr Paradise was born March 6, 1923, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph and Erminia (Petrillo) Paradise.

He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran who served during World War II. He was also a resident of Trumbull for 37 years where he was a longtime member of the Trumbull VFW. He retired from Sikorsky Aircraft where he worked for 28 years.

He is survived by a devoted daughter, Kathleen Paradise-Carroll, and her husband Philip of Newtown; a sister, Eleanor Clark of Bridgeport; three grandchildren, Stacy Purcell of Boston, Mass., Rachel Carroll of Texas, and Benjamin Carroll of Newtown. He was also predeceased by three brothers and one sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated January 12 in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, in Newtown. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull at the convenience of the family.
