Making A Difference
Making A Difference
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Womenâs Center of Greater Danbury this letter is written to once again express my heartfelt appreciation to the many individuals, organizations, and businesses whose generosity created a joyous holiday season for so many of our clients. Despite these challenging economic times, the abundance of new toys, clothes, gift certificates, holiday decorations, and food donated for the benefit of the many women, men, and children we provide services to, made our Holiday Giving Program a huge success and again kept our staff of âelvesâ hopping throughout the season.
Our very sincere thanks to the many area businesses, organizations, and individuals who conducted raffles, fundraising activities, and âgift-raisingâ events, those who sponsored Giving/Angel trees, âadoptedâ individuals or families, as well as the many others who contributed in additional ways too numerous to mention in this letter.
Special thanks also to our two decorating elves, Karen and Linda, who volunteered their time and talent to create a festive environment for clients as well as staff here at 2 West Street. Their efforts were appreciated by all!
As always, it is this kind of benevolence that reinforces our belief that together, we can make a difference in peopleâs lives and sustains us in our continuing efforts of âworking to end the violence.â
Sincerely,
Patricia A. Zachman, Executive Director
