Edward Everett Hoffmann, Jr
Edward Everett Hoffmann Jr, 88, of Floral Park, N.Y., and Fairview Lake-Tafton, Penn., died January 4 in New Milford Hospital following an illness.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Paul Everett and Deborah Hoffmann of Newtown; his son Glen Edward Hoffmann of Blooming Grove, Penn.; and grandchildren, Gretchen, Matthew and Olivia Hoffmann of Newtown.
Mr Hoffmann was a devoted husband to his wife of 40 years, Edith (Ritzer) Hoffmann, who predeceased him in 1985.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Edward and Henrietta (Greve) Hoffmann. Mr Hoffmann graduated from Cooper Union in New York City and was an executive with the Exxon Corp in its New York City headquarters for 42 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Paupack United Methodist Church, Paupack, Penn.
Memorial services will take place at the Paupack United Methodist Church at a time and date to be announced with the Rev Robert B. Kolvik-Campbell, pastor, officiating.
