Church Unity, Ecumenism?

Whatever Happened?

During a week of prayer for church unity, St Rose of Lima parish will sponsor an ecumenical conversation on Tuesday, January 20, at 7:30 pm, in the Msgr Conroy Room, entitled “Church Unity, Ecumenism? Whatever Happened?”

The Rev Samuel Scott, recently appointed director of ecumenical and interreligious affairs for the Diocese of Bridgeport, will be the lead speaker. The Rev Steve Gordon, senior pastor of the Congregational Church of Newtown, and the Rev John S. Kidd, executive director of the Council of Churches in Bridgeport, will respond and give points of reflection from their own experience.

This event is open to all parishioners of St Rose Parish and Christian people interested in the promoting the unity of the church. The event is sponsored by the Men of St Rose, a ministry of St Rose parish to help the adult men parishioners to live their Christian faith in all aspects of their lives.
