Cancer Society Seeks Honoree
DANBURY ââ The American Cancer Society is currently accepting nominations for the Spring Charity Ball Honoree. The honoree is someone who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients and their families. The recipient offers hope and inspiration and demonstrates compassion in the fight against cancer.
The 12th annual Spring Charity Ball will be held on April 3 at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury. The event will include dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and the recognition of both the Spring Charity Ball Honoree and the Angel Award Winner. Last yearâs Spring Charity Ball raised more than $60,000.
Nominations must include: an explanation of the relationship to the nominee; the reason for the nomination; and an overview of the nomineeâs character in 700 words or less. The nomination must include specific examples of the nomineeâs contributions to the fight against cancer. The deadline for nominations is January 30.
