Special Orders Being Accepted

For Woman’s Club Ornament

Lorraine Vanderwende and Mary Antey, co-chairs of the Newtown Woman’s Club, GFWC, Inc Christmas Ornament Project, have been receiving several requests for the 2009 ornament. The ornament, which depicted Middle Gate District School 1850, was very popular and the first issue has sold out.

Anyone wishing to order one can send a prepaid check to NWC GFWC, Inc in the amount of $10 to Lorraine Vanderwende, 32 Taunton Lake Drive, Newtown CT 06470, or drop it off at the Circulation Desk of the C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, with your request. Please note “2009 ornament” on the memo line.

Orders should be received by February 14, as the special order will be submitted shortly after that date and the ornaments will be delivered about one week after that, according to Mrs Vanderwende.

Ornaments from previous years are also available to be picked up at the Circulation Desk of the Library, or call Lorraine at 203-426-4865 to check on availability. Cost of earlier ornaments is also $10.
