Piano Music Featured At Love & Knishes Lunches
SOUTHBURY â The Love & Knishes Lunch Program resumes later this month with two lively piano programs in the Jewish Federationâs social hall at 444 Main Street North.
On January 19, Joe Albertario offers his own mellow interpretation on the new year with his blend of classical, jazz, and popular music on piano. Joe is a Southbury resident and a recent graduate of UConn.
And on January 26 an encore performance of âGershwin and All That Jazzâ features pianist Roger Young playing George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Scott Joplin, and some short classical pieces and special requests.
All area adults age 60 and better are invited to make reservations to enjoy themselves with Jordan Caterers of Cheshireâs hot lunch, which is served at noon, and followed by entertainment at 1 pm.
Lunch reservations should be made by the Friday before each lunch. All programs are open to the public, and there is a suggested lunch donation of $7.50 for adults age 60 and better and $9.50 for those under 60.
To RSVP, call Debby Horowitz, Brownstein Jewish Family Service director, at 203-267-3177, extension 105. In case of inclement weather, a message will be left at that number.
