Healing Hearts Offers Workshop For Grieving Adults

DANBURY — A “Life After Loss for Adults” workshop will be held on January 20, from 2 to 3 pm, at The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families at 73 Stadley Rough Road.

The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families is a program of Regional Hospice. The agency’s Caring Continuum — CARES at Home, Hospice, and Healing Hearts — provides care, comfort, and compassion for those touched by life-limiting illness and loss. Regional Hospice serves Newtown and several other area communities, offering patients and families help with any stage of end-of-life care.

This beneficial workshop looks at reactions to loss and how to move forward while experiencing grief. Participants will find insight and learn strategies for working through their grief. The facilitator for “Life After Loss for Adults” is Laurie Petrasanta, MS, who works with adult bereavement groups in Newtown, Danbury, and Ridgefield. The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families offers numerous support groups, workshops and programs to the public free of cost throughout the year.

For more information or to participate in the upcoming workshop, call Healing Hearts at 203-792-4422. To find out more about Regional Hospice, visit www.RegionalHospiceCT.org.
