Miriam Rasmussen, 86, longtime resident of Newtown, died in Brooksville, Fla., January 13. She was born February 12, 1928, in the Botsford section of Newtown. She was the daughter of the late Bertha (Broderick) and Albert Rasmussen.

Ms Rasmussen was an accountant for a plastics manufacturing company.

Two very good friends, Judith and Robert Wilkes of Brooksville, survive Ms Rasmussen. A brother, Allan, predeceased her.

A memorial service will take place Friday, January 16, at 10 am, at the Pinecrest Funeral Chapel, 3369 Mariner Boulevard, Spring Hill, Fla.
