Birding Hotspots Of Malaysia
SOUTHBURY â The Western CT Bird Club will present a presentation on âThe Bridging Hotspots of Malaysiaâ at its next meeting. The group meet the third Tuesday of each month at 7 pm at Southbury Public Library, 561 Main Street South (Route 6).
A 30-minute social gathering opens each meeting at 6:30, followed by the featured program at 7. The guest speaker on January 18 is Deborah Allen.
Ms Allen is a premier natural history photographer specializing in birds. Her work has been widely published in major magazines and newspapers, and has been included in the books: BBC Books, Graphic Arts Center, Heinemann Library, Mastervision, Rourke Publishing, and Stackpole. She is also the author of Puffins (Creative Co.)
Her work has been exhibited at American Museum of Natural History, Henry Luve Nature Observatory, and Indiana State Museum.
Ms Allen is a member and past president of the Linnaean Society of New York. This will be her final presentation before she is off to photograph the birds of Borneo.
The public is invited free of charge.
