Alice M.       Stomp

Alice M. Stomp, 79, of Peck’s Lane died January 6 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Rudolf F. Stomp, Jr. Mrs Stomp was born August 27, 1925, in New York City, daughter of the late Harry and Alice (McCabe) Doughty. She was a master gardener who was active in the Southbury Garden Club and the Mad Gardeners.

She is survived by two daughters, Frances M. Adams of Woodbury and Anne Marie Stomp of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Virginia Quinn of Newtown; two granddaughters, Michele and Nicole; a great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service was held on January 10 at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere. Burial was held in the Saint Rose cemetery in Newtown.
