Arthur W. Vichiola
Arthur W. Vichiola, 72, of Trumbull, died January 13 in St Vincentâs Medical Center.
 He was the brother of Laura Shortt of Sandy Hook.
Mr Vichiola was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong area resident. He was a retired truck driver and member of the Teamsters Local 191, and the Atlantic Old Timers. He was most recently employed as a security guard at Dr Raviolaâs office in Fairfield. In his youth, he was an avid sprint car racer, and a member of the Trumbull Rangers Football Team. He was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Elvira (Campanaro) Vichiola of Trumbull; two sons, James P. Vichiola of Bridgeport, and Thomas M. Vichiola of West Haven; one daughter, Linda Vichiola of Trumbull; three brothers, John Vichiola of Fairfield, Ronald Vichiola of Trumbull, and Robert Vichiola of Naugatuck; a grandaughter, Paige Vichiola; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond and Michael Vichiola, and his sister, Lucille Vichiola.
Funeral services were held on January 16, in the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull, with the Rev John K. Russell officiating. Interment was private.
