William K. “Bill” Malkin, Jr, age 81, of Newtown, died peacefully at his home on January 11, 2022. He was the husband of Marianne Hartigan Malkin for 25 years. Born in Norwalk on February 14, 1940, he was the son of the late William “Kirt” Malkin, Sr, and the late Sylvia D’Orio Malkin. Bill served in the United States Navy during peacetime and worked for DuPont as a tool and die maker. Bill loved fishing, boating, NASCAR, and model trains, and especially enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

Bill is survived by three step-children: Lisa and Jim Sheridan and their children Emma and Avan, Ernest and Liz Lattanzio and their children Owen and Zaia, Lynn and Dean Yeager and their children William and Jace; his brothers Pat Malkin (Joan) and Gary Malkin (Rosemary); and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 10 am, at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St John Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s name may be made to a favorite charity.
