Anne F. Kopf
Anne F. Kopf, 85, of Newtown, formerly of Norwalk, Woodbury, and Shelton, died peacefully January 8, surrounded by her loving family. Born January 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Catherine and Frank Fasano of the Bronx, N.Y.
Mrs Kopf was the devoted wife for 53 years of Albert Kopf; a loving mother to her two children, Susan Corigliano, married to Frank, of Newtown and Steven Kopf, married to Joyce, of Milford; the doting grandmother to her three grandsons, Frank, Jack, and Michael Corigliano with whom she lived in Newtown for ten years; and step-grandmother to Evan, Cassi, Alexandria, and Nicolette Corigliano. She is also survived by her sister, Frances (Fasano) Magasic.
Mrs Kopf was the head bookkeeper at various companies for most of her career, until her husband took an early retirement and they opened a restaurant in Woodbury, to fuel their passion for food and entertaining.
She always put her husband, children, and grandchildren before herself and loved to spend time with all of them. Her family misses her deeply and is comforted by the fact that they share so many memories of her and that she is no longer in pain. She will be greatly missed by all of those who came to know and love her and she will never be forgotten for all of the kind words and encouragement she gave to others.
Funeral services took place January 13. Interment was in Newtown village Cemetery.
The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, was in charge of arrangements.
