Edward Hilario

Edward Hilario, 83, of Danbury, died January 5, at Danbury Hospital. He was born April 13, 1928, in New Rochelle, N.Y., the son of Germana (Moura) and Abilio Hilario. He was the husband of Maria (Das Dores Alves) Hilario.

In addition to his wife of 62 years, Mr Hilario is survived by five siblings, including Arthur Hilario of Newtown; two children, Edward and Jane; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A resident of Danbury since 1960, he was employed as a laborer with the B.J. Dolan Co. of Bethel, as well as several other Danbury area businesses. He later was employed as a welder with Rapid Electric Co., until the time of his retirement.

Mr Hilario was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Danbury, where he actively volunteered in many church functions.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated January 9. Entombment was in the Hilario-Correia family mausoleum at St Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
