Three calendar listings — those for an American Red Cross blood drive, a Combined Schools Winter Concert, and the Town Historian’s Annual Lecture — were mistakenly listed under the wrong date in last week’s print edition (January 6, 2012) Community Calendar. All three events were scheduled for Monday, January 9; they were correct in our online calendars. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

The Bee’s Buck challenge of December 23 and 30 showed a shed on Cedar Hill Road. The note accompanying the new challenge offered last week (January 6) had the incorrect road name.

Alexander Hamilton was the first secretary of the treasury of the United States, not the tenth president, as stated in the story of January 6 about local author, Todd Wood, “Newtown Author’s Historical Fiction Novel Melds History and Modern Finance,” in the Enjoy section of the paper. It was the newspaper’s error, not the author’s.
