George F.      Bindner

SNETCO Employee For Over 20 Years

George F. Bindner, 75, of Stratford, beloved husband of 47 years to Josephine Bobela Bindner, died January 11 at St Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of William and Elizabeth Fischer Bindner.

Survivors in addition to his devoted wife, Josephine, are his children, Mary Kay Novak and her husband, Thomas, of Newtown, Richard Smagala and his wife, June, of Stratford and Henry Smagala and his wife, Claire, of Milford; four beloved grandchildren, Stacey and Kenneth Smagala and Casey and Ryan Novak; a brother, James Bindner and his wife, Mary, of Bridgeport; a sister, Madeline DuBour of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews.

A resident of Stratford for more than 47 years, Mr Bindner had worked at American Fabrics for more than 20 years and had also worked for SNETCO for more than 20 years before retiring.

Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, January 14, at 11 am in the Commerce Hill-Radozycki Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport (on the Trumbull Line). Interment will be in Mt Grove of Easton Cemetery. Calling hours are on Friday, January 13, from 4 to 8 pm.
