Warrant Arrest

Newtown police said they served an arrest warrant against Luis G. Marin, 28, of Danbury at the Danbury police station January 12 after they learned he was in police custody there.

The Newtown warrant lodges charges of second-degree failure to appear in court and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension.

Police said the motor vehicle charge stems from an August 15 incident in Newtown. Marin then failed to appear in Danbury Superior Court, resulting in the issuance of the rearrest warrant.

Police held Marin on a $1,000 bond for presentation in court on the charges in court January 13.
