Solo Guitar Jazz, After Hours
Solo Guitar Jazz, After Hours
RIDGEFIELD â There is nothing like the beautiful sound of a solo guitar, especially in the poetic hands of Lee Weissman.
This past Fourth of July at The Aldrich Museumâs annual outdoors blues concert with Chance Browne, Mr Weissman mesmerized the audience in the heat of that summer day during his solo break. Mr Weissmanâs âLeo Kottkeâ fingerstyle of playing brought relaxing cool tunes out of each string.
On Friday, January 28, from 7 to 9 pm, Aldrich After Hours will warmly welcome back guitarist Lee Weissman. Tickets, including complimentary wine, are $15 each.
A classically trained Easton native, Lee Weissman began playing at the age of seven, when his father brought home a $5 pawn shop guitar instead of the drums young Lee wanted. He went on to graduate from Crouse College of Music in Syracuse with honors in classical guitar.
The Aldrich Museum is at 258 Main Street (Route 35) in Ridgefield, and can be reached by calling 203/438-4519.
