The Nature Of Terrorism
The Nature Of Terrorism
Professor John Behling will give a lecture, âThe Threads of Terrorism,â at C.H. Booth Library on Monday, January 22, at 7:30 pm. The talk will focus on the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict with emphasis on the nature of terrorism.
Professor Behling expresses the view that âthe ongoing war in Palestine, at first only a local conflict, has now reached the status of being a root cause of the total international war on terrorism, and is no longer a âlocalâ issue.â
Why and how did this happen? An understanding of the history of the conflict is critical if a solution is ever to be reached, he says.
Professor Behlingâs past experience in the US State Department and as a professor at several northeastern universities including Fordham University and Western Connecticut State University provide him with an interesting perspective on this complex issue.
Call the library at 426-4533 to register for this talk or for additional information. The program is free and open to the public.
