Solutions To The Energy Crisis

BROOKFIELD — When the Housatonic Valley Group of the Sierra Club meets on January 15, three films will be shown that depict how areas in the United States are tackling the looming energy problem.

Wind Over Water, recounting the Cape Wind battle between environmentalists and residents over plans for the first offshore wind farm; French Fries To Go, a funny and hopeful film that documents the origins of Telluride, Colorado’s Biodiesel project, featuring cameos by Daryl Hannah, Dennis Weaver, and Dr Andrew Weil; and The Vineyard Energy Project, portraying Martha’s Vineyard’s successful effort to implement sustainable energy solutions through solar power, will be screened during an evening being billed as “Solutions To Our Energy Crisis — Wind, Solar and Biodiesel.”
