SCAN Is Still Seeking Artists

For January Show And Sale

Area artists are invited to show and sell their work at SCAN’s  “Color in January Art Show and Sale,” which will be held at Lexington Gardens from Saturday, January 20, to Sunday, January 28. This exhibit will highlight works by members of  Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting fine art in the Western Connecticut region.

Membership is $20 and is open to artists in any town.  Non-members may join at the time of receiving.

Receiving for framed oils, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, and graphic pieces will be Thursday, January 18, between 3 and 6 pm, at Lexington Gardens, 32 Church Hill Road. The entry fee is $15 for up to three framed pieces; work on stretched canvas with finished edges is acceptable.

All work exhibited will be offered for sale; twenty percent of the sales will be donated to SCAN.

For more information or to find out if receiving is postponed due to inclement weather, contact show chair Marianne Scanlon, 426-5283. For a prospectus, contact Ms Scanlon or visit SCANart.org.
