To Hold Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of The Newtown Meals on Wheels, Inc, will be on Tuesday, January 23, at 7 pm, in the meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.

Every weekday, this nonprofit organization’s volunteer drivers pick up nutritious meals prepared at Ashlar of Newtown and deliver them to persons who are housebound, including elderly people who live alone, and younger people who are temporarily incapacitated. Meals are prepared under the guidance of a dietitian. In addition to regular meals, special diets (including diabetic, low sodium, and soft food) are available. The cost of the meals is very reasonable.
