Family History Center Will Host Three-Day

Open House

The Newtown Family History Center, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, invites the public to visit and perhaps connect generations through researching their family history during an open house event the center will host the week of January 23–25.

During the open house — which will run Tuesday through Thursday, January 23–25, from 9 am to 2 pm and 7 to 9 pm — visitors will be given a free tour of the facility. Staff members will also be on hand to answer questions or to assist guests with their research.

The center is regularly open from 9 am to 2 pm and 7 to 9 pm each Tuesday and Wednesday, and on Thursdays from 9 am to 2 pm and 7 to 10 pm.

The Newtown Family History Center is a branch facility of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is the Family History Center for this area. This center provides access to most of the microfilms and microfiche in the Family History Library to help patrons identify their ancestors. Everyone is welcome to come to the center and use the Family History Center’s resources.

The Newtown Family History Center is located at 16 Saw Mill Road, within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Call 426-1752 for additional information.
