Democrats Seek To Fill Vacancies

The Newtown Democratic Town Committee is seeking volunteers to fill positions on town boards and commissions.

Currently, there is one vacancy on the Parks and Recreation commission; one vacancy on Economic Development Commission; and two vacancies on the Public Building and Site Commission (one alternate position and one permanent position).

Candidates seeking appointment must be residents of Newtown and registered Democrats. If interested, contact Jim McKenna at 426-4235 or via email at jimck@msn.com. Qualified applicants will be interviewed by the Democratic Town Committee and recommended to the Board of Selectmen for appointment.
