UConn Students Raise Money For Children’s Medical Center

University of Connecticut students are organizing their sixth annual HuskyThon fundraising event to benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. In the six years since its conception, the student-run organization has raised more than $100,000 for the only children’s hospital in the state.

UConn students are organizing an 18-hour “Dance Marathon,” from 6 pm February 23 through noon on February 24. Information about finding a dance team, and obtaining sponsorship is available at huskyThon.uconn.edu.

Direct contributions to the charity, whose motto is “The chance of a lifetime to give a lifetime of chances,” can be sent to HuskyThon, PO Box 214, Storrs CT 06268. Donations can also made on the HuskyThon website above.
