Church Garden Has Openings

There is still time to register for the new Sunday School Garden year at Newtown Congregational Church.

The new rotation begins Sunday, January 13, with the study of John the Baptist and the Baptism of Jesus. The objective of this rotation is for the children to learn and remember that John the Baptist was a prophet whose purpose was to prepare the Jews to accept Jesus Christ and his teachings.  John taught repentance, or turning away from sin, and baptism.

To register students, consult the church website, NewCongChurch.homestead.com, or be at the church, at 14 West Street, on Sunday morning at 10. Students meet in the Sanctuary before going to the Garden worship and classrooms. A parent should accompany new students.
