Short Winter Hike At Den

WESTON — Do homage to the short days of winter by hiking approximately two miles on some of the side trails near the parking lot at Devil’s Den, a 1,746-acre nature preserve owned by The Nature Conservancy and located on the Weston/Redding border.

Trained natural history guides Howard Pierpont and Helene Weatherill will help familiarize participants with these trails and some interesting facts about The Den on Sunday, January 23, from 1 to 2:30 pm. The hike will feature intriguing rocks, stone walls, and old trails in this typical New England deciduous, hardwood forest.
