Currituck To Close For A Month

 

Currituck Road will be closed for at least a month starting January 17, according to Public Works Director Fred Hurley.

The two-mile road will undergo bridge repair between Kenan Road and Obtuse Road. Currituck Road is a major connector for commuters traveling north to south. Mr Hurley said those motorists will have to use Route 25 instead. The road will remain open for local traffic only.

Pond Brook Road will also be closed during this time.

Warren Kimball & Sons of Newtown will complete the bridge repair.
