Newtown Congregational Church (NCC) sponsored a free event with live music at Reverie Brewing Company on the evening of Friday, January 3.

The event was open to all ages, and guests were able to make a freewill donation to support the work of The Resiliency Center of Newtown (RCN).

Music included Whiskey Brothers as the opening act, and a performance later in the night by musicians Jim Allyn, Cadence Carroll, Dan Tressler, Cody Voegeli, Doug Wray, and Sasha Allen.

The event had been rescheduled from its original date of December 1 due to inclement weather that evening.

On Tuesday, January 7, RCN Executive Director Stephanie Cinque told The Newtown Bee, “RCN raised just over $1,000, which for a small organization makes a huge impact.”
