The January meeting of Friends of Counted Embroidery-Laurel chapter (FCE-Laurel chapter) has been canceled.

The group was scheduled to meet at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 85 Mt Pleasant Road, on Thursday, January 11, but has canceled that meeting due to circumstances beyond the group's control.

The group is looking into new meeting venues, and hopes to be able to resume meeting in February at a new location.

FCE-Laurel chapter meets the second Thursday of each month, September through June. Meetings run from 10 am until approximately 2 pm, and all are welcome.

Each meeting features a different project, and new stitch is briefly taught or an old one revisited each month.

Attendees should bring their own coffee mug and lunch, basic stitching supplies, and a donation for FAITH Food Pantry.
