ARION’S YORK ANTIQUES SHOW WILL RETURN FEB. 1–3 w/1 cut

avv/gs set 1/9 #725131

YORK, PENN. —The original 150th semiannual York Antiques Show & Sale is scheduled for February 1–3, at Memorial Hall East, within the York Fairgrounds Convention & Expo Center.

The winter edition of this popular event will feature 96 exhibitors in room settings offering a range of antiques.

According to show manager Melvin L. Arion, the merchandise here will run the full gamut from Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century American and English furniture, both more formal period examples in hardwoods and country pieces sporting original paint and decoration, to early porcelain, including Staffordshire, Delft, Canton and Chinese Export.

Also to be offered will be pottery such as redware and stoneware, Oriental carpets, quilts, hooked rugs, samplers and other textiles, estate jewelry, Native American pottery and textiles, early kitchen and fireplace items, and more.

There is little dealer turnover at York, but some familiar faces have retired, leading to a few new faces this time, including Hilary and Paulette Nolan from Falmouth, Mass., Ralph Franzese of Bedminster, N.J., Gary and Judy Promey, Atwater, Ohio, Antiquarium, Portsmouth, N.H., and Robert Thayer of Lime Rock, Conn.

Participating Pennsylvania dealers include Jim Hirsheimer of Erwinna, Cheryl and Brant Mackley, Airville & Hummelstown, and Jim and Victoria Emele from Dublin.

Show hours both Friday and Saturday are 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is $10 per person, $9 with this article or an ad.
