Mildred F. Case

Mildred F. Case, 94, of Newtown, formerly of Westport, and wife of the late Earl P. Case, died January 4 at St Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport.

Mrs Case was born in Westport, daughter of the late Robert and Eleanor Tolle Kriewald and had resided in Westport for 65 years prior to moving to Jamaica, Vt., and then to Newtown.

She was a graduate of Staples High School and the former bookkeeper for Greenberg’s Department Store in Westport. Mrs Case was an amateur artist and poet.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Myer C. Allen; and two sons, Robert Allen and James Allen. Survivors include one son, John Allen of Newtown; four daughters, Cheryl Infante of Newtown, Jeanne Fowler of Willington, Joyce A. Fraser of Woodbury, and Bernice Camp of DeLeon Springs, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

The funeral took place January 8 from the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Westport, and in Christ and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 75 Church Lane, Westport with the Rev John H. Branson III, officiating. Interment followed in Christ and Holy Trinity Church Cemetery.
