Edward E.     Hoffman, Jr
 Edward Everett Hoffman, Jr, 88, of Floral Park, N.Y., and Fairview Lake, Tafton, Penn., died January 4 in New Milford Hospital following an illness.
 He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul Everett and Deborah Hoffman, of Newtown; a son, Glenn Edward Hoffman of Blooming Grove, Penn., and by three grandchildren: Gretchen, Matthew, and Olivia Hoffman of Newtown. He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Edith (Ritzer) Hoffman.
 Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr Hoffman was an executive with Exxon Corp in New York City for 42 years. He retired in 1983.
 He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a graduate of Cooper Union College in New York City.
 Memorial services will be held at the Paupack United Methodist Church in Paupak, Penn., at a time and date to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to the food pantry at the Paupack United Methodist Church, Route 507, Paupack, PA 18451 or to Survivors Resources of Pike County, 500 West Hartford Street, Milford, PA 18337.
 Arrangements were made by Teeterâs Funeral Chapel, 505 Church Street, Hawley, Penn.
