The scheduled January 8 evening Gala Concert to celebrate the opening of the newly renovated Newtown High School auditorium has been postponed until further notice, due to anticipated weather.

The school district also announced afterschool and evening activities at all schools are canceled for January 8.

The Gala Concert was originally scheduled for the evening of January 5, but it was postponed until January 8 due to the weather. A second snow date for the event was not set as of the afternoon of January 8.
