If you see a low-flying black helicopter over Newtown today, there is no need to worry about invasions or catastrophes, according to Newtown’s Director of Emergency Communications, Maureen Will.

The utility, Eversource, is taking high definition photos in connection with its maintenance and planning for the town’s electrical grid. Ms Will reports that the town’s dispatch center has received numerous emergency calls about the helicopter. She said the utility has informed the town that  the work is routine, and the public should not be alarmed.
