Raymond J. Scholl, 86, of Newtown, died December 18, at Masonicare of Newtown. Mr. Scholl was the husband of the late Margaret (Knoors) Scholl. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., September 22, 1923, a son of Barbara (Kiefer) and Otto Scholl.Â
Mr Scholl was an honored World War II Army veteran, serving in France and Belgium. A resident of Newtown for 38 years, the last four at Masonicare, he was a retired line supervisor for Pitney Bowes. He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Southbury.
Mr Scholl is survived by several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dear friends Arlene and Ken Rupp, who have lovingly been caring for him for more than 11 years.
 A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Arrangements by the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
