Opposed To Deer Culling

To the Editor:

 I’m reaching out to you to express my strong opposition to a town-sanctioned deer culling program. I don’t believe its the best way to deal with the deer population in Newtown, nor do I believe these deer increase the risk of Lyme disease from ticks.

It turns my stomach to think that some people could consider slaughtering these beautiful animals. I hope that more Newtowners will voice their opposition to this distasteful tactic.
