This honest discussion regarding what is happening among area youth will give residents and parents an opportunity to learn firsthand just what Newtownâs young people are facing each day.
John Hamilton, CEO for Regional Network of Programs, a nonprofit behavioral health agency will facilitate. He has worked with numerous local and state agencies over the course of his 20-plus years in the field of prevention, substance abuse, and treatment.Â
He has experience with youth, adults, and families in a variety of counseling and administrative roles and is a licensed marriage and family therapist and drug and alcohol counselor. Mr Hamilton has facts and statistics he hopes will educate and empower anyone who cares about Newtownâs young people.
The Newtown Parent Connection, in collaboration with the Housatonic Valley Coalition on Substance Abuse and CT Turning to Youth and Families, is presenting this, the organizationâs fourth forum featuring youth âtelling it like it is.âÂ
