Engagement Announced

Antonina Lombardo announces the engagement of her daughter, Sally Rosa Lombardo of Sandy Hook, to Joshua Charles Liska, son of Donna and Richard Liska, Jr, of Newtown.

The bride is also the daughter of the late Salvatore Lombardo.

The couple became engaged on Christmas Day 2009.

The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Newtown High School. She then graduated, in May 2008, from Naugatuck Community College with an associate’s degree. She is employed as a secretary.

The future groom also graduated from Newtown High School in 2005. He then graduated from Baran Institute for Technology in September 2006. A volunteer firefighter with Newtown Hook & Ladder, Mr Liska is a diesel mechanic.
