Flagpole Photographers Announce January Programs
The Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will welcome the new year with the program “You Be The Judge,” planned for Thursday, January 13.
Guests will discuss all aspects of judging, including how judges are chosen, what goes into scoring and comments, and when/if these should or should not be listened to. All attendees should have a notebook and pen, an open mind, and questions about judging ready.
The program will take place online. It will begin at 7:15 pm.
The competition theme for the month of January is “I’m So Blue,” and the Monthly Challenge theme is “Macro.” These competitions will take place during the online gathering on Thursday, January 27, at 7 pm.
Members compete in a different assigned subject each month, as well as in Monthly Challenge, Open Color, Open Monochrome, and Comments Only categories. The Monthly Challenge is decided at the competition meetings for the following month. While the competition is only open to members, the public is invited to listen to critiques and learn about photography.
There is no charge to attend Flagpole Photographers Camera Club competitions. Flagpole Photographers is a local non-profit group that enables members to share their images and expertise, to learn and grow in their photography, and to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow photographers who come from diverse backgrounds, with photographic skills ranging from novices to professionals.
New members are always welcome to join the club and may enter their work in monthly club competitions, participate in workshops, take field trips, get involved in community programs, and take part in annual exhibits.
