To the Editor:

[On January 6] C-SPAN [was to] televise the Congressional ratification of the Electoral College votes. It promises to be a deliberately created circus, as the dirty baker’s dozen Congresspersons stand up to challenge those electoral votes.

Trump is insane like a fox... he and his “base” have intended all along to take apart our democracy any way they can... discrediting all our traditional institutions with lies and rumor-mongering and creating chaos wherever possible.

Long ago the GOP in both Senate and House should have parted company from this agenda, but they have not. They have put self-interest or craven submission ahead of service on behalf of this nation’s citizenry.
