Antoinette âBootsieâ Oman, 80, of Newtown, died January 2. Born April 30, 1930, in Norwalk, to Victoria and Frank Fratto, she is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Donald Oman; and three daughters and their husbands, Anne and Ernie Leclercq of Danbury, Beth and Ray Musgrave of Sanger, Calif., and Cathy and Andy Moore of Danbury. She is also survived by six grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was a parishioner of St Maryâs Church Bethel for 35 years before moving to Newtown, where she was a member of St Rose of Lima Church. Mrs Oman was a bookkeeper by trade and lifelong volunteer. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, Swedish weaving, jigsaw puzzles, cake decorating, traveling, and had a great interest in the space program.
Visitation hours were scheduled for Thursday, January 6, from 5 to 8 pm, at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel. A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled at 10 am, Friday, January 7, at St Maryâs Church, 26 Dodgingtown Road, Bethel. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
