‘Unity In Diversity’ January Programs

Corpus Christi Faith Community will present Unity In Diversity with host Rev Leo McIlrath and special guests, on Charter Cable Television, Channel 21, on Monday, January 3, at noon, and Wednesday, January 5, at 5:30 pm, with Dr Paul Hines, coordinator of the Dorothy Day House of Hospitality, in Danbury.

Dr Z. Michael Taweh, founder and president of Kevin’s Community Center in Newtown, is the guest on January 10 and 12 while the Rev Larry Carew, director of the Office of Charismatic Renewal for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, will be the focus on January 17 and 19.

On January 24 and 26, viewers may see Part I of the 2004 Danbury Interfaith Thanksgiving Service held at the First Congregational Church of Danbury. On the following week, Part II of that service will be aired. People from all the major religious traditions in this region participated.

Each week, programs can be seen at noon on Mondays and at 5:30 pm on Wednesdays, with potential time changes in the near future. Programs will also be aired on Comcast Cable (Channel 23), on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6 pm and noon, respectively.

Programs highlight the history, creedal formulae and liturgical rites, special celebrations and community action initiatives of each tradition.
