SOUTHBURY — The history of Bent of the River Audubon Center will be the topic of a slide presentation given by Jim Nolan, a naturalist and now manager for the National Audubon preserve, on Tuesday, January 18, at 2 pm, at East Hill Woods.

Mr Nolan will discuss the unique challenges involved with turning the former private gentleman’s farm into a one-of-a-kind environmental education center. Bent of the River is in the South Britain Section of Southbury.

The presentation is open to the public free of charge. Call 262-6161 for reservations or additional information. The auditorium at East Hill Woods is at 611 East Hill Road.
