Richard L. Prasauckas, 76, of Sandy Hook, passed away unexpectedly January 2, 2020, at his home. Mr Prasauckas was the husband of Jacquelyn (Taradine) Prasauckas. He was born in Waterbury on February 6, 1943, a son of the late John and Nellie (Griskauskas) Prasauckas.

Richard served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. He was a graduate of the University of New Haven. Richard was an employee of Armstrong Rubber for many years and retired as a Systems Analyst for Sikorsky Aircraft. Mr Prasauckas was a former president of the Newtown Little League.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Rick Prasauckas of Newtown, Matthew Prasauckas of Danbury, and Jason Prasauckas of Newtown; a daughter, Kristin Humphrey of Harwinton; a brother, Wayne Dojny, and a sister, Cynthia Burns, both of Oxford.

Family and close friends may call Friday, January 10, 2020, from 10 to 11 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 am in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
