Mr Turtle’s School Now In Brookfield

Mr Turtle’s School, formerly of Sandy Hook, is now located at 18 Old Route 7 Unit 8, in Brookfield.

Mr Turtle’s School is a cooperative school for children ages 20 months through 3 years. 

The 19-year-old program is under new ownership and has moved to Brookfield, near the Four Corners at 18 Old Route 7 in “The Landing.”

Classes are offered Monday through Saturday. Students attend weekly during their scheduled time for their 75-minute class. Mr Turtle’s School is typically a 35-week program and runs from September through June. This year the shortened school year will run from January through June. Tuition is $480 for this year’s 22-week program, according to the school.

Classes are set to begin the week of January 9.

Nicole Mahady, the new owner, is a mother of two and has attended Mr Turtle’s School with both of her children prior to owning it. She has a bachelor of arts in English and early childhood education, a master of arts in learning, and she holds a State of Connecticut Professional Educator’s Certificate and is certified in nursery school through grade three. She has also taught kindergarten and first grade in the Greenwich Public School System.
