Mr and Mrs Justin Thom
The marriage of Jessica McCallum, daughter of Ted and Bonnie McCallum of Newtown, and Justin Thom, son of Terrence Thom of Franklin, Wis., and Deborah Thom of Cedarburg, Wis., took place October 22 at Newtown Congregational Church, officiated by the Rev Leo McIlrath.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white, strapless gown and carried a bouquet of Black Magic roses. Jennifer Hope of West Hartford served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heidi Thom, of Atlanta, Elizabeth Grauer of Newtown, Melissa Burns of Waterbury, Casey Klarr of Boston, and Kelly McGuinness of Philadelphia. The attendants wore cranberry-colored strapless gowns with matching wraps and carried bouquets of Black Magic and gold roses with burnt orange calla lilies.
The best men were Christopher Thom of Atlanta and Casey Thom of Cedarburg, Wis. Jason and Jonathan McCallum of Newtown, David Schumacher of Cleveland, Ohio, and Joe Hammes, Brookfield, Wis., served as ushers.
A wedding reception followed at Dolce Heritage in Southbury.
The bride graduated from Newtown High School and received her bachelor of arts from Loyola College in Maryland. She received her master of arts from the University of Connecticut and is employed as a speech and language pathologist in School District 64, Park Ridge, Ill.
Mr Thom is a graduate of Marquette High School and received his bachelor of arts from Loyola College. He is employed as a portfolio manager at Deerfield Capital in Illinois.
After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple is at home in Chicago.
