Bertha B. Tardiff, 91, of Newtown, died December 31 in Danbury Hospital. Mrs Tardiff was the wife of the late Paul L. Tardiff.

She was born in Flushing, N.Y., on March 27, 1915, a daughter of Arthur and Katherine (Reidel) Barr. Mrs Tardiff had been a resident of Newtown since 1961 and previously resided in Huntington, Long Island, N.Y. She was employed as an inspector for the Ullmann Devices Corporation in Ridgefield until her retirement.

Mrs Tardiff is survived by a son, Ronald P. Tardiff, of Bethel; a daughter, Carolyn K. Rullmann of East Northport, Long Island; five grandchildren, Ronald Tardiff, Jr, John Tardiff, Nicole Tardiff, Jeffrey Rullman, and Jeanne Martin; and great-grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held January 4 in the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown. Interment was in Newtown Village Cemetery.
