Toys For Tots Drive A Success

To the Editor:

On behalf of the United States Marine Corps Reserves and all of the staff at Coldwell Banker, I would like to thank all the people who so generously contributed to the Toys For Tots Drive this year.

The outpouring of gifts was overwhelming and showed the true spirit of this holiday season.

Thank you to the woman who had a dream that she had to buy a bike for a little boy and had her husband go out and purchase one the next morning. Thank you to all of the people who had parties and had their guests bring toys instead of wine or fruit cake. Thank you to the lady who buys toys all year long in memory of her late husband, and thank you to all the teachers who have class parties and collect toys for those who are less fortunate. The list goes on and on.

Because of all of you, hundreds of children had a merrier Christmas than it might otherwise have been. The residents of Newtown truly understand the true meaning of Christmas.
